Governance: Views of Leadership and Management in the Australian Social Economy Report

One factor holding organisations back is the complexity of leadership and management in the sector.  Further, misunderstandings, prejudices and, in some cases, ignorance make the problem worse.

The Perpetual Foundation has provided crucial financial support to enable SEEEN to conduct research to clarify the various views on leadership and management. 

Over 1,300 survey respondents and 55 focus group participants from non-profit, for-profit and government organisations contributed to the project. In addressing leadership and management in social welfare, medical research, culture, sports, education and community development, the research has identified a series of opportunities and problems within the non-profit sector.
