VCOSS notes that the Ombudsman’s investigation is focused on access to financial support and complaints mechanisms.
However during consultations with members VCOSS heard how although financial concerns are a problem for kinship carers, other issues also directly relate to difficulties accessing financial support.
In this submission VCOSS explores how financial difficulties cannot be separated from other needs including access to information, tailored support for Aboriginal families, increased transparency in application processes and faster decision-making.Download this document (DOC) Download this document (PDF)
