Victorian Jobs Guarantee

VCOSS is supporting sector organisations to participate in the Victorian Government’s Social Services Jobs Guarantee.

The Jobs Guarantee is a two-year pilot scheme supported by VCOSS and other community sector peak bodies.

The scheme’s purpose is to help address critical workforce shortages in our sector.

During the pilot period, Diploma of Community Services graduates are guaranteed a job at the end of their studies (helping to drive up course completion rates).

Assistance is provided to employers to match these new graduates to suitable vacancies. Employers may also be eligible to apply for funding to assist with recruiting, onboarding, supervising and developing new graduates who require additional job-readiness support.

The Victorian Government has committed to all eligible graduates that register being offered a 12-month role in the social services sector.

VCOSS offers direct support for employers wishing to complete an Expression of Interest, or can work with groups of employers wanting to form a consortium.
