As the Australian Disability sector undergoes significant reform, we all aim to continue providing high-quality services that promote the rights and dignity of people with disability.
Communities of Practice (CoP) are a great opportunity for service providers to share their successes and learnings as well as to hear the perspectives of people with disability and representatives from other relevant organisations and sector bodies.
NDS is seeking representatives from Victoria-based service providers who are using the tools and resources from the NDS Zero Tolerance Framework. We want to know what you are doing to embed positive work cultures and how these resources can be used to support with the transition to the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.
The objectives of the Communities of Practice are to:
- Share knowledge, perspectives and experience to assist service providers to understand any new developments as the sector transitions to the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework and to discuss what these changes mean for organisations; and
- Support service providers to embed the NDS Zero Tolerance resources into organisational practice: Sharing success and barriers to embedding positive work cultures using the NDS Zero Tolerance resources.
The materials developed as part of the NDS Zero Tolerance initiative will be explored throughout a series of discussion topics.
