VCOSS submission to the issues paper for the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 Review

Under current Victorian laws, landlords can rent out a home that is not weatherproof, has no heating, window coverings or hot water.

Bathrooms and bedrooms can be riddled with mould. Tenants are not entitled to bathing and cooking facilities, or to make minor repairs to the property.

Change is desperately needed.
