Human Services and Health Partnership Implementation Committee (HSHPIC)

The Human Services and Health Partnership Implementation Committee (HSHPIC) was established in 2004. The objectives of HSHPIC are to:

  • Promote and support collaboration and partnership between the DFFH, DH and the community sector to make positive changes for Victorians
  • Work together to optimise outcomes for Victorians
  • Share and discuss common issues between the two departments and the community sector
  • Test new ideas and discuss new policy approaches.

HSHPIC membership comprises a range of peak bodies representing the community sector as well as representatives from Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) and Department of Health (DH). HSHPIC is a key element of the important cross-sector and cross-Department partnership work VCOSS is committed to. The partnership is further enhance by the co-chairing arrangements between DFFH, DH and VCOSS with secretariat functions being provided by VCOSS.
