Empowered Lives
Securing change for Victorians with disability
About Empowered Lives
Empowered Lives is a network of close to 40 Victorian disability advocacy organisations, working together to advocate for the rights of people with disability. Our vision is for an inclusive Victoria where people with disability have the same opportunities as other Victorians.
Empowered Lives brings together people with disability, advocates, and organisations in the disability community to collaborate for systemic change. As an ally and advocate for a better, fairer and more just Victoria, VCOSS provides backbone support for the Empowered Lives network.

Our Network
The Empowered Lives platform outlines the key systemic issues facing Victorians with disability in their interactions with Victorian Government systems, and sets out achievable actions the
Government can take to provide more opportunities for people with disability, more inclusive environments and communities, and stronger support when needed.
The Empowered Lives platform was developed in 2018 by people with disability, advocates and organisations across the Victorian disability community, reflecting our shared commitment to achieving the rights of Victorians with disability.
Our sincere thanks to the many people with disability, advocates, supporters, and organisations who generously contributed their time, expertise and insights, including members of the Project Advisory Committee and Disability Network Forum.
